Review of Admission a novel by Jean Hanff Korelitz

This novel was literally a stay up later than  I should because its soo good kind of novel. And in some ways I wondered why. Because as the story begins you wonder how likable the main character really is. She is  harsh and judgemental; which in her job as a Princeton admissions officer is ininvitable, but as the reader you wish she didnt bring this home with her. But as the story goes on you  understand her and relate to her. You start to understand just how much her wounds have shaped her, and made her who she is. You know something in her past has changed her forever.  And when she runs into someone from her past, and an odd but brilliant 17 year old, her past confronts her, forcing her to slow down enough to let herself feel.
